LES South Africa and the LESI Life Sciences Committee would like to invite you to a virtual panel discussion with three experts on best practices and recent developments in the field of licensing, litigation and competition law relating to Plant Breeders’ Rights (PBRs).

The session will be facilitated by LESI Life Sciences Committee co-Chair, Joanne van Harmelen from ENS who will start by providing a brief introduction to PBRs in South Africa.

The panellists are:
• Dina Biagio from Spoor & Fisher who will provide insights into best practices for licensing of PBRs;
• Danie Dohmen from Adams & Adams who will discuss some recent developments in PBR litigation in South Africa; and
• Lizel Bilgnaut from ENS who will discuss the importance of considering South African competition law when dealing with transactions relating to PBRs.
