Investment in Artificial Intelligence and expectations towards the technology have grown exponentially. However, the return on investment and the use of AI in the technology transfer process is still fairly limited. The potential of AI in this context cannot be overstated: transferring and evidencing the transfer of rights or licenses to the end client, valuating existing IP, finding potential candidates for licensing, etc.
While aspects of substantive intellectual property law, such as ownership, inventorship, or the right to use data for training purposes, have been widely discussed, the processes and tools that AI holds to facilitate transfer of technology still largely remain under the radar.
The guests of the Technology Transfer Committee and the Innovation Trends Committee will discuss existing processes and tools that are or may be used to valorize IP rights, facilitate technology transfer and optimally exploit the potential of existing assets.
Panel:
Subodh Kumar, Head IP, Tata Consulting Service
Lorenzo Rossi, IP Manager, Italian Institute of Technology
