World Intellectual Property Day 2021 shines a light on the critical role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the economy and how they can use intellectual property (IP) rights to build stronger, more competitive and resilient businesses. LES Italy: "Mobility Different / Different Mobility" - 12:00pm - 1:30pm (EDT) / 6:00pm - 7:30pm (CEST)
To celebrate the 2021 edition of IP Day, LES Italy has invited the well-known designer Walter De Silva who will hold an interesting keynote speech on the future of mobility on Monday 26 April starting at 6.00pm (CET) with particular reference to the automotive sector. Walter De Silva is one of the fathers of automotive design on an international level. At the following links you can find a short profile and a description of his main creations in the field of design. The webinar will be held in Italian and is FREE to LES members.

LES USA-Canada: "World IP Day Celebration" - 1:00pm - 3:00pm (EDT) / 7:00pm - 9:00pm (CEST)
World Intellectual Property Day is April 26, and LES has been at the forefront in promoting this event in the U.S. World Intellectual Property Day to learn about the role that intellectual property (IP) rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity. This year's theme focuses on small business. This event will include remarks from former Commissioners and Directors at the USPTO (Andrew Hirschfeld, Current Patent Commissioner and Former Directors Bruce Lehman, David Kappos, and Andrei Iancu), a discussion with the Federal Circuit (the Honorable Kathleen O’Malley and former Chief Judge, the Honorable Paul Redmond Michel), and remarks from Gillian Fenton, current LES USA-Canada President, and Dana Robert Colarulli, current LESI Executive Director. Registration is FREE to LES members.

LESI joins the USPTO, WIPO, AIPLA and others in the US to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day 2021 in a special 90-minute program, including remarks from the USPTO and Members of Congress. This annual international event is an opportunity to learn about the role that intellectual property (IP) rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity. This year’s theme is “IP & SMEs: Taking Your Ideas to Market.” Registration is FREE to LES members.
