During the LESI International Management and Delegates Meeting in Madrid Spain this past April, we convened the global LES leaders to conduct the work of the organization – vote on a new LESI Board of Directors, approve a budget for the coming year and even vote on a few awards for outstanding service to LES. In addition, the LESI Board and the delegates discussed and adopted updated Mission and Vision statements for our 51-year-old organization.

The language for these statements was developed through a series of small group discussions (beginning in Bangkok at the LESI Winter Planning meeting), then drafted, edited, and revised based on feedback from our organization’s leaders. During the next year, we’re excited to further discuss the words chosen and why and look forward to feedback from our membership. (if you have some, please send your comments to dana@lesi.org)
