The History of Intellectual Property Law: Patents
LES USA & Canada

Centuries ago, intellectual property laws were developed to protect innovators and creators. Before that, there were few if any protections. So, how did these laws come into being? What drivers were responsible and what cultures led the way to transform the primitive laws then to the more sophisticated legal instruments we see today? From the Ancients to the Italian Renaissance to the birth of America to today, this presentation will explore the evolution of intellectual property law; this presentation will deal with the creation of patent laws. Live only.

Speaker: Raymond Van Dyke, Van Dyke Intellectual Property Law
