At the request of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), LES Brasil offers this free course as one of the deliveries provided for in the Action Plan of the National Intellectual Property Strategy (IPSPR).
The objective is to train professionals involved with innovation and intellectual property in the main techniques and negotiation practices applied to licensing agreements and technology exploration agreements. All stages of the negotiation process will be addressed — from the preparation and prior diligence, preparation of preliminary documents and conduct of the negotiations, to the wording of the main contract, focusing on the critical clauses, governance and maintenance of the relationship between the parties.
The course will also discuss strategic topics such as open innovation agreements, which are fundamental for the scalability of sustainable impact technologies, as well as specific aspects of university-company cooperation.
Target audience: Technology transfer professionals, innovation managers, representatives of universities, researchers, lawyers specialized in intellectual property, executives of technology-based companies and other interested in improving their knowledge of negotiation and licensing agreements, and who already have some knowledge of intellectual property. No basic concepts of intellectual property, no deposit or registration procedures with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) will be addressed.
