EcoFactor v. Google LLC Amicus
LES USA & Canada

LES USA-Canada's Valuation & Pricing Committee is pleased to announce that Professor Mark Lemley, William H. Neukom Professor of Law at Stanford Law School, will be their distinguished guest speaker at their March 27th committee meeting from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Eastern.

Professor Lemley, one of the most cited legal scholars in intellectual property law, will provide his insights on various amicus briefs filed in the EcoFactor v. Google LLC case where the Federal Circuit granted en banc rehearing to reconsider whether EcoFactor's damages expert could determine reasonable royalty rates from lump-sum licenses under Rule 702 and Daubert standards.

The discussion will focus on how these briefs may influence the court's decision and their potential implications for IP valuation, expert witness testimony, and licensing practices.

As the Director of Stanford's Program in Law, Science and Technology and with extensive experience in IP litigation, Professor Lemley brings unparalleled expertise to this important topic. His insights on the amicus positions taken by industry leaders, legal scholars, and government entities will be invaluable to practitioners involved in IP valuation and pricing matters.

This meeting will observe Chatham House Rules to encourage an open and candid exchange of information.
