The Unified Patent Court (‘UPC’) opened for business on June 1st, 2023. The Court has been hailed as potentially the most important forum in international patent litigation.

The last 3 years have seen the evolution of key trends and jurisprudence through the UPC, and it has become a increasingly attractive forum for patent holders from around the world, including US based companies with patent holdings in Europe.

Chris de Mauny from Bird & Bird will provide a presentation highlighting key developments and features of the Court’s operation and decisions over the past three years, followed by an interactive discussion of some of those points and other themes among the presenters and audience.
