LES USA-Canada "New, Now, and Next: Currently-Debated Topics in Data and AI"

Come join LES USA & Canada’s High Tech Sector for an insightful discussion and networking with corporate professionals and outside counsel dealing with hot topics in the data licensing and IP space.  Attendees will gain insights from experienced panelists on currently-litigated topics, secure data collection and generative AI as well as areas like global licensing where IP practices are in a period of transition.  This is a fantastic event for anyone who wants to know how IP and data experts are dealing with issues where the regulations and practice guidelines are a moving target.

Registrants may participate remotely, though all speakers will be local to the host's (Brown Rudnick's) office in NYC.

Program:

  • Hot Topics in Generative AI: A panel discussion on the New York Times’ lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft, IP in and resulting from Generative AI, and how these issues will affect your practice
  • Hot Topics in Imaging: A panel discussion on risks and opportunities when licensing or processing data with privacy and cybersecurity implications, such as surveillance images and images taken by autonomous vehicles
  • Hot Topics in Global Licensing: A panel discussion on current practices in licensing across global borders and in varying jurisdictions, and how industry leaders are dealing with the changing permissions

Panelists include leading in-house and outside counsel, including from companies like: Pony.ai, Mondelēz International, Brown Rudnick, and Womble Bond Dickinson.
